Front Door Replacement: Ramblewood South Home with Rotten Frame and Security Gap
The front door of this Ramblewood South home was a hollow-core steel slab installed in 2003, with a frame so rotted you could push a screwdriver through the jamb leg. Security wasn’t theoretical - the deadbolt had 3/4 inch of play. Our measured survey found the rough opening 1/2 inch out of square and the sill pan nonexistent. We specified a Therma-Tru fiberglass entry system with a composite jamb, multi-point lock, and a site-fabricated aluminum sill pan tied to the slab waterproofing.
